Firearms Transfer Procedures
If you are purchasing a firearm from us you only need to provide TWO things to complete the firearm purchase.
1. Payment. You pay us directly for the firearm at checkout. Complete the transaction on the website as you would for any other item.
2. We cannot ship a firearm direct to you. All firearms will be shipped to a valid FFL holder so they can confirm the identity of the buyer, conduct any required background check and then legally transfer the firearm to the buyer. All gun shops will have a valid FFL.
HOW TO ARRANGE A SHIPMENT AND TRANSFER:
1. Contact the dealer and let them know you would like to receive a firearm for transfer from Pilot Mountain Arms.
2. Have your dealer email a copy of the FFL to info@pilotmountainarms.com.
**Ask your dealer to include your order name and number within their communication
**We recommend that you locate an FFL dealer prior to placing your order. However, if you choose to place your order first, we will hold your purchase for 7 days until you can arrange for a transfer.
**IMPORTANT**
Once the firearm is ready for pickup at your local FFL, please INSPECT THE FIREARM THOROUGHLY to make sure it's exactly what you ordered and that there are no defects. If there are any problems at all, DO NOT ACCEPT THE TRANSFER. If there was a mistake on our part we will gladly have the firearm picked up and replaced. However, once a firearm has been transferred to you it is considered used, even if it is unfired. If the firearm was not built by Pilot Mountain Arms - the firearm must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement.

IF YOU ARE PURCHASING A FIREARM FROM ANOTHER SHOP AND WANT TO TRANSFER IT THROUGH PILOT MOUNTAIN ARMS:
1. Pilot Mountain Arms is listed as a dealer/FFL with many manufacturers, but if they need a copy of our FFL - Have them contact us at info@pilotmountainarms.com or (919)283-0110.
2. We will contact you via email or phone when we receive your firearm and it is ready for pickup. If you have tracking information on an inbound transfer, please be aware that it may take up to 48 hours after delivery to process. We recommend that you call to ensure your firearm is ready for pick-up prior to driving to the shop.
3. There is a $40 transfer fee for the initial transfer. Any additional transfers that arrive at the same time from the same FFL will be $20 each.

**IMPORTANT**

If the firearm is not approved for transfer in accordance with state and federal regulations you will be responsible to arrange for and cover the cost of return shipping.
