The Pilot Mountain Arms Operator Model 1911 is a professional grade, fully accurized .45 caliber pistol with trigger and action (reliability) job. This pistol is modeled after the 1911 pistols that Sergeant Major Brian Searcy carried during his service with 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta and is built using the same quality components. The extended beaver tail grip safety and commander style hammer reduce hammer bite and wear on the shooter. The adjustable Bomar style night sights allow the shooter to adjust the point of impact with a variety of ammunition. The rear sight cut is set slightly forward into the interior of the slide to protect the rear blade. This pistol has the accuracy and reliability to be used as an offensive handgun. It’s built specifically for professionals whose life depends on quickly eliminating threats.
